
Rick has lived most of his life in Manitoba.
He graduated from the University of Manitoba with a BA, majoring in mathematics.
Rick worked in the public sector for more than 2 decades, earning an accounting designation with the Society of Management Accountants of Manitoba towards the end of that period.
Following a brief retirement, he worked for 6 ½ years with a Christian university college as the Director of Finance and then Chief Financial Officer.
Rick is most at home spending time with his wife, to whom he has been married since 1988, with their children – son, daughter, and daughter-in-law, and with friends.
Rick enjoys a game of darts, whether in serious competition or for fun. He is also a fan of the Winnipeg Jets and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Go teams! He will usually say yes to coffee and chocolate.
Tyra is soon to be graduating from Providence University College with a business Administration degree. While studying for this degree, she has learnt the importance of collaborating with others, keeping a positive attitude, and working hard. She has a strong passion for growth, continuous learning, and achieving shared goals with the team. She is always looking for opportunities to expand her skills and knowledge, while bringing curiosity and dedication.
She has always enjoyed staying active through sports, especially volleyball, and loves spending time outside in the sunshine.
Dima is a quick learner and attentive listener. He is adept at finding innovative approaches to accounting system improvements and migrations. Dima’s interest in commerce, combined with a deep passion for ministry, has made work at Plains Edge both fulfilling and meaningful.
He has a BA in Marketplace from Steinbach Bible College including specialized coursework in Accounting from Athabasca University.
His optimistic attitude and sense of humor bring positivity to every community of which he is a part. In his free time, Dima enjoys playing guitar and performing in front of an audience.
Cameron combines a comprehensive understanding of technology with the contextual awareness to identify good fit and an inquisitive approach to problem solving. Numerous individuals and organizations continue to benefit from his contributions.
Understanding how computer systems work, from the way electrons interact within a circuit to the way a user interacts with the screen, has been a life-long passion. He enjoys using C#, Rust, Python, and several other languages. He has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Computer) from the University of Manitoba.
Judy is a dedicated, intentional, and highly organized individual. She approaches projects with patient and careful attention to detail and a positive, collaborative mindset.
She graduated from W.C. Miller Collegiate with a Business Diploma, and from Steinbach Bible College with a Diploma in Biblical Studies (with honors). Judy has experience managing corporate and acquisition file systems, developing organizational procedures, and coordinating staff.
Judy is always keen to grow something new. Her most recent fields of study have included human resources management, as well as heritage seeds to brighten her garden.
Christian’s style is positive, direct, and attentive. He brings a long-time drive to understand and serve charitable organizations. He studied at Steinbach Bible College, graduated with honors with an Administrative Diploma in Accounting from Red River College, and earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting with distinction from Athabasca University. He recently completed the CPA Professional Education Program and is in the process of fulfilling his Practical Experience requirements for his CPA designation.
Christian has gained experience providing financial direction to various non-profit education and housing entities, being a volunteer Treasurer at a local church, and serving on the board at the Mennonite Heritage Village Museum.
When not in the office, he enjoys time outdoors exploring different trails, working on his yard, or soaking in the time with his family and friends.
Pat grew up as a Canadian in Germany attending an international school. He graduated with a degree from Steinbach Bible College, and completed coursework for his CMA designation at the University of Manitoba’s Asper School of Business.
He has more than twenty years experience as a CFO, Controller, and IT Manager for a variety of companies and ministries. Pat has volunteered as a board member with the Association for Business Administrators for Christian Colleges and the Manitoba Federation of Independent Schools.
Pat enjoys the outdoors, in almost any weather, preferably on a long run or bike ride.
